Spotify Student Premium Germany unsupported Country?

Hi there,

I want to get the Spotify student discount, so I went to the Spotify internet side and created an account at unidays, which apparently confirms for spotify if you are a student or not, cause you have to log in there with your university registration number, e.c.. Unidays confirmed my student status, but if I want to proceed further to get the discount, spotify says, that I am living in an unsupported country and cannot do this.

But I am living in Germany, in my accounts settings Germany is my home country and I checked whether Germany is an unsupported country or not, and it is an supported country.

Does anybody of you had the same problem or knows how to proceed further or what to do?

Can you try getting the student discount through http://spotify.com/student or does that take you to the same place?

hey it still gets me to the same place, where unsupported county is mentioned.

Could it be your IP address is from a different country other than Germany? It detects your IP address to make the decision.

Can you try from an incognito window, or a different device?

hey I tried get the discount from my sell phone logged out from my home network but I still got the reply, that I would be in an usupported country. I tried it with my computer again this time with new IP adress, still doesnt working.

Support took a look at your account and did not find a problem.

Same issue for me and I live in Los Angeles. Must be something wrong with unidays
