Spotify freezes whenever trying to log in

Whenever I try to login into Spotify on my desktop, it would just freeze and not do anything. I've resetted my password and reinstalled the program multiple times already, yet the same problem still occurs. My login credentials are certainly correct so I do not know where the problem is. I have a feeling it's related to the firewall or network but I am not sure. Does anyone know how to fix this please? I've seen others with the same problem but no "official solution" has been found.

Mine is doing the exact same thing, been doing it for 3 days now.  I tried logging into the web browser version and that allowed me to log in but won't play anything!  I can't find a contact for Spotify to sort this out either!
