Spotify is trying to kick my girlfriend from my family subscription

Spotify is trying to kick my girlfriend from my family subscription

Plan

Premium Family

Country

Hi,

first of all, english isn't my native language, but i'll try my best 🙂

I created in 2014 my Spotify account via Facebook. Since then i had premium and all worked fine. Last month i decided to add my girlfriend to my account with the family subscription. Yesterday i got an e-mail saying, that they will kick her, if she doesn't correct her adress, so they can recognize if she is living with me or not.

Stupid thing is, i can't correct my adress in my profile, because its a Facebook Account. I dont have any personal Information saved in my Facebook Account, so no adress whatsoever. She is asked for the zip code for her adress. I don'teven have one in my Facebook account too. I read in the help section, that it is necessary to delete my old account, create a new one and recreate all my playlists from scratch. Is this really the only possibility to get my girlfriend added to my subscription?

If so, then this is really not the beste way to do that. I don't wanna create all my playlists again.

I hope you understood all my questions. 🙂

Hey @thomas0r, thanks for writing.

I'm sorry about that. The thing is sometimes the information once given to Spotify (regarding the users’ addresses) don’t match the ones they have. The data might be incorrect, incomplete or outdated, hence the removal of some users.

In this case I suggest you get in touch with the Spotify Cares staff - They'll be happy to help you further with this.

There are a few ways to contact them.

Another great way is to reach Spotify via Facebook support. Shoot them a message here: Spotify Cares.

When you message them, inform all the e-mail addresses on the plan.

Let me know if this helps!
