Spotify not functioning on my device

My S3 died and I have my old HTC Evo laying around.  I have temporarialy activated it and it says that my current version of Spotify does not function with this device.  Is there anything I can do?  Or am I screwed till i get an updated phone?

Unofficially if you know how to install apks for android devices you will have to search around for one that works on your device. There have been some reports of users doing this on discontinued supported devices and getting the spotify app to work with the service but use at your own risk. Do a search on installing apk spotify app.

Which model of HTC Evo is it? Spotify now requires an armv7 processor and android 2.3 or above.

EVO 4G Model # PC36100 Andriod 2.3.5

That does have an armv7 processor from what I can see so it should be supported still. What error message are you getting exactly?

When I select the app, it doesnt turn on,  Just a white screen.  Also, when I look at the app in the Google Play App list it says my "device isnt compatible with this version."
