Spotify premium subscription confusion

Spotify premium subscription confusion

I am subscribed to Spotify premium according to my iPhone settings however on my actual Spotify app account it keeps saying free and that it "could not buy premium". When I try to buy premium it says I am already subscribed and that the premium period ends 2/22(it has said this since 2/2) both in the app and in my iPhone settings. I have this problem every month when my subscription period ends even though I'm on automatic renewal. I updated my payment information just last month so I do not understand what the problem is. I have also tried to log out and back in to my account but it still says "free". Please help as I think I am still being charged although my Spotify is on free.
