Spotify website times out

My Question or Issue

 I noticed a couple of weeks ago that I couldn't go online in the desktop app. I signed out and tried to log in again, but it timed out.

I then uninstalled spotify and went to the spotify website to re-download, but every time I try to access the Spotify website it times out.

Spotify app works fine on my Android device and I can access the spotify website no problems using Chrome on my phone, on the same WiFi network as my PC.

I've tried:

- Resetting router

- Changing firewall settings

- Clearing cache

- Using another browser

- Using a different WiFi network

spotify.com still times out every time i try to access it on my PC.

Thanks for reaching out. Spotify was having some issues on their website yesterday evening. Can you try again and let me know if it works now? I'd also recommend trying an incognito window to see if that does the trick.

You can download Spotify by clicking here. Could you see if that works for you?

The website should be up. However if it's not loading for you, be sure to allow Spotify full access to the internet.

Thanks Guido, the download link works.

When I try to login in the installer I get the message in the attached screenshot (Error code 2).

I've allowed Spoty and spotify installer in my firewall, and I've tried disabling my firewall altogether with the same result.

Thanks for getting back to us.

Could you try booting your computer in Safe Mode to see if you can login to Spotify there? If you can log in in Safe Mode, it most likely means that there is still a setting/feature on your computer preventing you from logging in to Spotify. Could it be that you are using a work PC?
