Spotify won´t recognize I´m a unlimited suscripter

Solved!

Spotify won´t recognize I´m a unlimited suscripter

Hello,

I´m trying to use Spotify but it does not recognize that I bought an unlimited suscription.

When I check it on my profile everything seems to be fine but when I´m using the program it still plays commercial and I´m still seeing the advertising.

After tryed the contact form a couple of times I´m at the point of unsuscribing of a thing I´m not able to enjoy.

Or you could try this,

Click on Edit >Prefences >Scroll down to Cache, Right click and copy the path to the cache folder >Click start >and Paste the path in  the search bar >Once in the Cache folder, SIGN OUT/EXIT the Spotify client >Delete everything from the folder.

Then just load up the Spotify client and you SHOULD now have the Premium status at the top of the screen and the upgrade button should no longer be there.

Hope this helps guys.

Jamie.

Thank you for this, but it really shouldn't be this complicated. Your account should upgrade as soon as you log out and in.

For me it didnt, i deleted the contents in the cache folder, and bingo once i logged back in i was prmium.

No i agree it shouldnt be this complicated, but unfortuntly, it is in some cases. Wont hurt to try this though right?

Jamie.

Hi,

I'm having the same problem after having installed Spotify on a new laptop. Login goes through but no playlists are synchronised and no unlimited status is recognised.

Frustrating!

Thanks for your help.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

It sounds to me like you might have accidentally created and logged into a duplicate account, that is why all of your playlists and your subscription is missing. Have a go at the steps outlined in this post as they should help you get back into your account. If you have any issues, details of how to get in touch with support are in that post too.

Spotify Premium is required to stream on a mobile device such as an iPad, that is why you are being asked to upgrade on unlimited.
