My Question or Issue

Hi guys and dear manager,

I received a mail 10 mins ago about suspicious activity. If I'm not wrong we can view a list of current activities on the account page but couldn't find it anymore. It's been removed or replaced in a short form. And of course, I've changed the password. No problems here.

I want to learn what happened and why did I get a mail like that.

Hey @ggflayeep,

Thanks! Lastly, can you let me know if the sender email address ends in @spotify.com?

Ofcourse it is.

Look, I just want to learn what happened to my account before receiving that mail. I'm not complaining about mail receiving. I just want to learn the activity of my account that causes that.

It's nearly been 10 hours and there is actually not a respective response anymore.

Hi @ggflayeep,

Ethan here jumping in for Billy-J. @Billy-J was looking to ensure that the email you had received was not a scam or fishing email first however rest assured Spotify take Security extremely seriously their Security Team works tirelessly to safeguard your account and your personal information

With regards to these emails from Spotify this is a precautionary measure that Spotify take when they find that other websites or services, where the same login details are used, get compromised.

However, Spotify has not been compromised and Spotify's users' data is secure. As a proactive measure you've been prompted to reset your password as a first step and suggest you change your registered email address as well, if you use the same credentials for multiple services, for piece of mind.

I'd recommend checking out this Support Article for advice on how to keep your Spotify account secure here.

All the best,
