Switching emails

So I've bought premium on my main account, but id like to switch the email of said account to my main email account. When i registered with my main email i stopped using spotify shortly so it has all my old music and none of anything i listen to now. So if i were able to delete my old account, would that free up the email and allow me to switch emails on my main spotify account? If not would i be able to transfer all of my old music and premium to my main account?
