Third party apps connect to an account i am not logged in to

My Question or Issue

whenever i try to connect any third party apps (e.g. stationhead, airbuds, musixmatch) to my spotify, it connects to my brothers account that is not logged in to my phone and hasn’t been for a while. i have no problem with my account on the actual app but once i try to connect my spotify to anything it uses his account and it’s starting to get annoying. please help🙏 (the first photo is my account on the spotify app and the second photo shows the account it tries to use when i access a third party app)

Welcome to the Spotify Community, and thanks for reaching out to us!

First of all, please, double-check if you are logged into your account on your browser too. Maybe on the browser, you are connected to your brother one, and when processing the linking between Spotify and the third-party apps, it is going through his account on the browser.

Hi @Luan, thanks for the recommendation ! i went into the browser and logged out and logged back in and then did the same in the spotify app and then it started working properly ! i didn’t disconnect his account from my phone or anything i just logged out and logged in both places and it worked ! i’ve tried logging out of just the app before and it didn’t work so i assume this was the fix i was looking for. thank you for your tip !
