My Question or Issue

I had my own Spotify (free) account. I joined someone else's Spotify (duo) account. All my Spotify lists and recents were transferred and was on that for a few years. Recently, that person got rid of their account and since they were the account holder I lost premium. I decided to switch to my own Spotify (family) plan so my whole family could have premium. When I tried to start my own family plan using my current account, it said there was no current Spotify account using that email. I knew that wasn't true but I went ahead and signed up as a new person using my same email. I now have my family plan BUT my account is "new" so I don't have any of my lists, songs or history etc. Is there a way to get all my old stuff onto this new account? I know it's probably impossible because obviously it thinks my email has never had Spotify but I figured I'd ask because that's many many years of building lists and history. Please help

Hey @Kiseminger88,

Thanks for coming to the Community.

If you're getting an error logging in with an email address, is it possible that your other account is connected to Facebook?

Can you try clicking on Continue with Facebook when logging in to see if that does the trick?

Feel free to check out this FAQ as well, as it confains a few other methods which you can use to locate the account.

Once you're back in your account, you can follow the steps outlined in this FAQ article to transfer all your stuff over to your new account.

I hope this helps 🙂
