Tried to redeem a prepaid card and still got "5 days until your subscription is up" email

Tried to redeem a prepaid card and still got "5 days until your subscription is up" email

So a few months ago i bought some prepaud cards since my visa gift card which I've been using was going on empty the last one i used ended on November first and Spotify email me saying my payment failed immediately i went and tried to redeem another card, I was sent a receipt for the redeemed card and then today (November 7th) was sent an email saying my subscription will end in five days. Does this mean that in five days the card i redeemed will take effect or did i mess up by not entering the new card before the payment failure email was sent. If anyone knows the answer it'd be much appreciated. Thanks!!
