Turning off login password by code instead of password

Every time I login I immediately get the password code option instead of logging in with my password. I have checked my login settings and there is nothing to delete or change. I don't want to use a code to complete the login. I want to use my password. I always check login by password, but I still get the code in my email.

Why make us paying customers have a password in the first place Spotify?  why is the company not transparent about this and wasting your customers time with this frustration if it's "for"us? Why a password? When can we use it? How about the very very common practice of someone hacking your email, then they have the code...for the 20 minutes.  Isn't it more safe to have your own password that is NOT going to a 3rd party source for them to have the codes to enter in? It sounds like it's not really "for" us after all, when your paying customers are requesting to use a password. Good way to lose customers who cannot control their own privacy, but instead, give them the illusion with a password they will never get to use and security controls they are FORCED in all actuality to contend with?
