Unable to change my updated email address from facebook to my current Spotify account

Hi guys,

So I joined Spotify about a few years back with an old email that was linked to my facebook account, and a few months after I changed my email in my facebook account, but it was never updated in my Spotify account. When I try to manually edit my emaill address in Spotify, it says that my "email is already taken". Does anyone know how to fix this?
