Unable to log in

Unable to log in

Hi! When trying to log in I get the message account already created. However I'm NOT trying to create a new account but simply to log in!

Hi @user-removed, welcome to the community!

 

We know itโ€™s annoying when you canโ€™t log in and access your music. So letโ€™s start off with some basic troubleshooting:

  • Make sure youโ€™re on the right login screen:
    o    If you made your account with Facebook, tap LOG IN WITH FACEBOOK.
    o    If you made your account with a username and password, enter those and tap LOG IN.
    Note: Make sure youโ€™re not entering your email address in the username field. 
  • If youโ€™re a Free customer, remember you can only use Spotify abroad for 14 days at a time. Please reconnect to Spotify from the country you signed up in, or change your country setting.
  • Close and reopen the app.
  • Restart the device youโ€™re using Spotify on.
  • Reinstall Spotify.

What do we enter for username then?

Well as I said previously, it depends on how you created your account. If it was with Facebook, tap LOG IN WITH FACEBOOK.

 

If you made your account with a username and password, enter those and tap LOG IN.

  • Note: Make sure youโ€™re not entering your email address in the username field. 

Your username is what comes before the @ of your email address.

 

You can also try a password reset
