Hi,
I couldn't afford Spotify for two months -- fell on some hard times -- and recieved e-mails saying that my account had been put on hold. As soon as I came into a little money, Spotify automatically charged me. I'm very confused, as I don't even us spotify and figuring out how to cancel my subscription has proven to be a little more than hard. The site is very hard to navigate.
To make matters worse I was supposed to transfer the full sum of money out of my paypal and onto my paypal debit card in order to pay for my electricity bill. It's getting shut off tomorrow afternoon if I don't have the full amount, which includes the 9.99 that Spotify charged me. I need help cancelling my subscription and getting that money back, as I no longer use Spotify.
I'm very afraid of losing my power and thusly my means of making money through graphic design. I don't know what to do. I've sent two inquiries and have not heard back -- and since there's no one I can contact immediately as spotify does not offer live customer support, this has become far more stressful than I thought it would. Please help.

Hi,
I have been charged $9.99 each month for close to a year for a 'free' subscription. When I look under my account, in my receipts, there are none listed, as if they haven't charged me-- but my credit card is being charged every month.
how do I recoup this money?
It is so frustrating and unprofessional that Spotify relies on a SuperUser, rather than a staff member to address this. Sorry to dump it on you.
Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂
Don't worry, us Super users are here to help! Spotify do have dedicated support, but the community is all about others helping others kind of thing!
Normally when this happens, you have subscribed on a duplicate account in the system. Since this is a billing issue, it is best if you get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to track down your premium account for you, and process any refunds etc which you are due.
If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

I have the same problem as those above. I received an email with this: Case # 11057986: Subscription - Other ref:_00DD0pxIW._500571kMrBM:ref
I've been charged $9.99 each month for over a year and haven't been able to stop it. I guess my next move has to be the BBB, FCC and/or State Atty General. This (Spotify) is frustrating in the extreme if you have billing disputes.
I have a similar problem, I only have one account with Spotify it is not Premium it is free, but I have had two payments of £9.99 taken as a recurring subscription on my debit card. I want my debit card details removed from whoever it is on Spotify that is using my card - I don't know who the account belongs to, but these are not payment for my account. My bank have sent a cancellation request to Spotify, but apparently they don't have to take any notice of it. I may have to report this as fraud, but I would like to know first from Spotify what is the account that is using my debit card details?
