Unlinking devices

Solved!

Unlinking devices

Plan: Premium

OS: W10

Hello,

I'd like to know if it's possible to unlink a device from the user area, as I plan to format the computer, and I understand this is a good practice.

If this isn't possible, please suggest other alternatives.

Thank you in advance.

Hey @jvc_audiolover, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

You can sign out everywhere to unlink your device from your Spotify account here. You won’t lose any saved content, playlists, etc when you log out of Spotify. When you finish formatting your desktop, you’re able to download Spotify again here

Keep in mind, I noticed from your original post that your operating system is Windows 10. Windows 10 is still supported by Spotify if it’s 64-bit. If your desktop doesn’t meet those requirements and you attempt to format and uninstall the app, you may no longer have access to the app. There’s more information on the system requirements for Spotify here

Hope this helps!
