Hello!
Do you have Premium? If yes, please remove all your offline devices here. Then (or if you don't have Premium), uninstall Spotify again and make sure if all Spotify files and folders have been deleted. Then install Spotify and tell me if it is still updating. If it does, please tell us your exact device, OS and a current version of Spotify.
