Using Spotify in North Cyprus

I live in North Cyprus, and frequently get "Your country doesn't match the one set in your profile" error (#408). There are two options Cyprus and Turkey, but none seems to work reliably in both parts of the island, or anywhere close to the border.

Are you using the service near the green line? Or are you using a proxy of any sort? I know the ISP's in the north of cprus route through turkey and use a .tr IP so it should be fine.

Are you using the gree service?

I live in the north and work in the south. Do I have to pick one for good, or do I need to  (can I) switch my country setting every time I cross the gates? How does travellers manage to use Spotify?

If you use spotify Free it will work abroad, but for only 14 days. I dont see the north and south as being abroad, but according to the ISP's and turkey they are spearate countries.

With Premium you have an unlimited amount of days abroad, but cyprus is so tiny it does not take long to cross that border.  You dont need to change your country setting.

There is no setting for north cyprus, but I guess for the north it would be considered turkey

i wonder if youre connecting to a Cyprus IP and a turkish one and it sees you as being as abroad for longer than you are if you use it for longar than the 14 days

Maybe, if you would like the other benefits of Premium such as offine mode and unlimited time abroad.

I dont see why though as cyprus is one country, there is no "TRNC", but Premium imo is well worth it
