My Question

Greetings,

I was idling on pc and recognized that my friend hasn't listened for a while then head to her profile. She deleted every playlist that she made and also she cleaned  her followers/following list but something was different.

When I go to her profile on a pc platform I see the follow button but on mobile. What's that mean? Is the account about to being deactivated or what?

Thanks in advance.

Hey @ggflayeep!

You're right: accounts will remain blocked until the deletion process is finalized. Since you were able to view their profile, the user had manually unblocked you before closing their account.

Hope this clears things up. Take care!

Hi there @ggflayeep,

Thank you for posting in the Community.

To start with, can you ask your friend how you appear for them?

Also, do you get the same behavior with other friends on Spotify or this person specifically?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Take care!

Hi,

Actually I can't reach him at the moment and yes, this happened for a specific person. My two acc was blocked somehow and trying to reach him to learn the reason. The duration was like for a week. Then I can reach the profile with two of my accs but this. And now, his acc is deleted I guess.

Is it the proceed of acc deletions? I mean, when you request to delete your acc and puts in proceed is it what the others see?

Hi @ggflayeep!

It's possible that they deleted their account, like you mentioned. This process may take up to 30 days to finalize and since it's done automatically by the system, we're unable to provide any further details on the matter.

Once the account has been completely erased from our database, the changes should reflect in the app as well.

The Community is always here if anything else comes up.

Cheers!

Hi again,

First of all, I'm not looking for further infos. Just trying to figure out some facts.

I was trying to learn the process "duration" because he disappeared  three weeks ago from everywhere and on 30th of August his account is gone. Till that day, he removed all followers by manually but that's what been seeing on mobile but on pc application it was 0-0 and I was unblocked. I could view his page without loggin out from my account.

The fact I want to learn is; when someone decides to delete their account the system puts the request in process. That's okay but what about blocked accounts? I think account blocks still persist until the owner unblock them, right?

Thanks in advance.
