Why does Spotify feature my full name instead of username?

Hi!

I'm trying to figure out why Spotify features my full name instead of my username alias even though I have deleated the Facebook app and cut the connection to FB (I think). I can't find the place in my profile where I stated my full name. When I search for my username alias the result is featured as my full name. Very annoying.

I have also tried to logout all devices and log in using my username. It hasn't always been like this - I used to be just the username alias.

Is there perhaps a long delay before cutting the cord with FB has effect on my Spotify profile? Other theories?

Please, please advice me on how to become just an alias again.

Hi @hjälpmig!

You can check if your Facebook profile's still connected to your Spotify account and disconnect it by following these steps using a desktop app:

1. Click Edit in the menu bar.
2. Select Preferences.

3. Under Social Network, click Disconnect from Facebook.
4. Click Disconnect again to confirm.

If you've already done these and it's still showing your name, you can wait up to, I guess, 3 days just to give it enough time to completely unlink your accounts.
