Why don't playlists that I follow automatically show up on my public profile?

Playlists created by other users that I follow don't automatically show up on my public profile. I can change this by selecting 'make public' for the playlist on the desktop app, but why don't they automatically show up? Is it to do with my settings?

Maybe you can check your internet connection. Because there are times if the internet is quite slow, they wont right away appear or get updated.

Try also going to your setting and your playlist public.
