My Question or Issue

Apparently there is a device titled "Living Room Speaker" that keeps attaching to my Spotify and turning on the app on my phone. It won't stop autoconnecting and it won't forget the device.

How do I stop my phone from autoconnecting to a device that's not mine, but apparently on my wifi?

And, how do I make my Spotify forget a device I've never paired it to?

Hi there @KaiserBuhn,

thanks for reaching out about this !

Could you please let me know if this device is known to you ?

Have you used it before ?

In the meanwhile, you can find more info on Spotify Connect here.

Keep me posted 🙂

Hey,

Thanks for the quick reply.

The device is NOT known to me. I don't own a Wi-Fi speaker. I do share my Wi-Fi with the tenants upstairs and so it might be their device, which is why I can't simply kick it off of the system. I just want it to stop connecting to my phone via the Wi-Fi. I don't even care if they use my Spotify account, I just don't want the 'Living Room Speaker' device attached to the app on my phone.

Hi @KaiserBuhn,

thanks for replying to my questions!

In order to determine if the speaker connect is coming from your shared WiFi, i would have to ask you to try your device and account on a different network.

If you experience the same issue on a different network, please reply back to the post and we'll continue with some more steps.

Keep me posted 🙂
