Hey!
This is a big joke now... Get Satisfaction forums completely removed very soon... and now no one can give a feedback to Spotify.
Problem is here: in new Spotify community all new users are forced to use a Facebook before they get a username for Spotify and community. In the Spotify blog you need a Facebook to comment. No one can say anything bad about the stupid Facebook integration in Spotify without the Facebook account. And now Spotify's Contact form can be used only if you have a Spotify (old account) or a new Spotify account created with Facebook. As you may know, no one can register to Spotify without a Facebook these days.
Try the new Contact form... This makes me cry and i really think now to use another service for music in the future...
How lame. Add your voice here.
And yes, they who are without Facebook, at least share the link on the Internet. You can't write here. All awards to Spotify for this wonderful thing. Excellent service comes crap in less than a year. Congratulations.

If you're a non-Spotify user, the best way to get in contact with using the following form:
http://www.spotify.com/about-us/contact/contact-spotify-account/
No need to have Facebook or a Spotify account to contact us. We're always looking to try new things and would welcome the feedback, so please keep it coming.
Cheers.
To be honest, I don't think we thought about the omission of feedback with the new changes to the contact form. There should be a channel for this. I'll pass the feedback along.

Also, in regards to commenting on the Blog, users have the option of commenting via Facebook or Yahoo, AOL and Hotmail.
Just select the 'Comment using' drop down bar beneath the comment box.
Why not those options for registering to Spotify? I think a many can be a satisfied again if they can use a Yahoo, Hotmail or whatever for registering to great Spotify music. Just Facebook for this is a poor and bad way.
There are two issues here:
1) The contact form
Summary: Nothing has changed here - effectively. I will explain..
If you have a Spotify account ("old" or "new"), you can log in to contact Customer Service.
If you have problems logging in, you can reach a different version of the form (option 1).
If you do not have a Spotify account, you can either create one directly (option 2), or you can contact us (option 3).
Thus, anyone, under any circumstance, can contact us, just as before. We have simply honed the form a bit, so that everyone who can login will do so. This makes it easier for us to handle contacts at our end. We know who you are, and that the username and email address that you are using are correct. It's all for greater efficiency.
2) Blog comments
Summary: Some changes, but Facebook (exclusively) is not required
You do not need Facebook, but you do need some form of identification before you post.
If you click the "Not you" option, you will get a selection of third party services with which you can identify yourself (Facebook, Yahoo, AOL, Hotmail). Agreed, you still need one of those accounts. On the other hand, I think it isn't that unreasonable for us to require some form of ID when posting comments on the blog, Posters should be made to feel accountable.
Personally, I don't see why we can't also allow a simple Spotify login at the website isn't enough. That would allow Spotify members who are not members of any of the other services to comment.

Yes. The unified login has caused some problems and confusion. We have to clear that situation up. The problems are being worked on. What you don't see is the disappearance of cases of people forgetting their Spotify username and password. With millions of users, do you know how many of them forgot, or mistook username or password every day ? It was crazy - believe me. With new accounts, that is now a thing of the past. People don't seem to have the same issues with their Facebook details.
Hey Jude, i agree with you. But do you have any plans for add a diffirent way to register for music? As I know, these days, all need a Facebook. And as A know, many can't create this Facebook account. Why... no need to Facebook - totally useless, Facebook makes money when someone create a account (read: sold information to Facebook and get nothing back). I'm OK with this integration. Anyone can use if like, but add a way to others to subscribe.
It cannot be asking too much. Does it?
I want to be clear. I do not really care about this, because I have an old account that works well. But I also want that the other shall be able to enjoy the awesome service called Spotify. I want to help you all. If anyone can subscribe to Spotify, with Facebook account or not, everyone wins.
Jude,
Is the Facebook integration worth so much to Spotify that these people don't matter?
Do you advocate the creation of dummy Facebook accounts (against Facebook's TOS) in order to use Spotify?
Does every single Spotify employee that uses Spotify to listen to music also have a Facebook account, and are new Spotify employees forced to create a Facebook account (if they don't already have one) in order to use Spotify like everyone else?

But you HAD THIS BEFORE! Load a blog post from December 2011 or before, and you see the old blog comment form which only requires a Spotify login. You could also comment with Facebook by logging with your Facebook details through the "Log in" button at the top right corner. Later you changed it to Facebook's comment form for no reason at all.

Why do you not give an option to either sign up with Facebook or create a Spotify account like before? The login button gives you an option to log in with FB info or Spotify info. Have a similar registration page with both Facebook and Without Facebook options.
The current registration page has a Facebook plug-in that pre-fills your FB profile information. If you're not on Facebook, it tells you to sign up to Facebook. Instead of telling everyone to sign up for Facebook, you should have something like this on your registration page:
If you ARE logged in to Facebook, the "Log in to Facebook" button would be replaced with the pre-filled info form. This way Facebook users would be very likely to click the blue Register button and sign up with their Facebook account, while those who wish not to connect, would notice the signing up without facebook link and go through that instead.
This way millions of users would have signed up with their Facebook account, reducing the amount of forgotten password support requests, while not alienating those who do not want a Facebook account.
Yes. Very great screenshot. A link to Subscribe via Spotify or at least with Google/Microsoft.
Steve,
I'm not sure.
Yes, she does. I can assure you its awful. One time she spammed my Facebook wall with three consecutive pictures from her jewelry making class which she took and uploaded with her iPhone.
Under 12's aren't allowed to have a Spotify account either, probably for the same legal reasons. If you're 12 or older, you'll need parental permission until you reach your 18th birthday. I'm guessing you probably can't do too much registering for things on the internet if you're under the age of 12.
The authentication is done via the Spotify servers so any Facebook block should not affect a login to Spotify.
All of feedback matters. Including yours, Steve. We're not advocating anything but we are happy to answer questions, provide suggestions, and receive feedback.

I am totally against all thise bull**bleep** with facebook integration.. I had it first but it was just annoying.. so when the new terms came up I just declined them.. but now I keep having this social freaking tab on my spotify screen taking up too much space.. I had premium for over a year but if this keeps going on I am changing to either Sony or Deezer. I almost changed to Deezer because they had equalizer two months back.. but now I am really thinking about changing because of this social plugin/integration crap...

If you would like to close the ticker bar, you can do it under
View > People list
@licenced
And yes I know I can stop those sites' posts from appearing in my Timeline, I still don't want FB to have them
If you turn off sharing to Facebook, in Preferences > Activity sharing, this info won't be shared with Facebook.

Jude,
Out of interest, since making some form of identification necessary in order to make comments on blog posts, has there ever been a reply from a Spotify employee?
I've just been going through the last couple of months of blog posts and I have two observations:
1) The number of comments has really dropped off since you made Facebook/Yahoo,/AOL/Hotmail login necessary.
2) I couldn't find a single instance of a Spotify employee responding to a comment in the blog.
1) The number of comments has really dropped off since you made Facebook/Yahoo,/AOL/Hotmail login necessary.
I couldn't count that. I suspect that this may be more related to the fact that the blog link was removed from the main website menu around the same time.
2) I couldn't find a single instance of a Spotify employee responding to a comment in the blog.
With the new setup it's actually easier to manage comments for posts. However, the downside is that employees post as individuals. There is no employee identification in the comments for the blog.
Hey there you, Yeah, you! 😁 Welcome - we're glad you joined the Spotify Community! While you here, let's have a fun game and get…
