So you've logged in with your Spotify username only to see your friend's Facebook picture and name in the top right hand corner. Now your listening history is on your friend's Facebook--what to do?
Not to worry. This can be fixed in a matter of seconds.
Head over to your Preferences Page within your desktop app: Edit > Preferences (in Windows) or Spotify > Preferences (in Mac)
From there select 'Disconnect from Facebook' under 'Social Network'. You'll know it's disconnected when the button changes to 'Connect to Facebook'.
If you'd like, you can then link to your own FB. That way this error can't happen again in the future 🙂

Hi, can somebody sort out my spotify/facebook issue?
Accidentely linked my girlfriends facebook account with my spotify account and all her friends are imported into my spotify.
Done the diconnect from facebook thing and reconnected with my facebook account (also tommilne86) but cannot get my friends on to spotify, only hers remain.
Can somebody please fix this or tell me how to do it?

Normally a quick clean reinstallation will sort that out for you 😉

I created my Spotify account by creating a new facebook account because I had deactivated my primary facebook account at the time of signing up. I've now reactivated my primary account and would like to change my account so it is linked with my primary account and email address. Is this possible?

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂
You will need to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they should be able to assist you in moving everything over to your other Facebook account for you.
If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

If your logged into an account which was created using Facebook, there is no way to disconnect that account from Facebook. If you want to migrate from a Facebook login account, to a Spotify login account then have a read at this tutorial:

How do you sign into the client with your premium account? Is it with a Spotify username and password or your email address and Facebook password?

If you have an old style username/password (pre-Facebook) account then you can connect it to your Facebook account in the desktop client in Edit/Spotify > Preferences > Social Network > Connect to Facebook then you can use either your Spotify username or Facebook details to log into that same account.

You shouldn't need to change your Spotify email address (although you can do that from your online profile if you like).
If your Spotify username is "nufchora" then I can confirm your account is connected to Facebook and your starred playlist is showing as public. Are you trying to post a link to that playlist on your Facebook?

hmm okey, maybe its just me that cannot se it at fb. but i tried to change my email at edit profile, but i got this message"Another account is already registered with this email address." so i cannot changed it, looks like i got two accounts. but im just using one.
In that case if you get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form they will be able to remove that extra account for you 😉

Use this form instead, just be sure to include your relevant account usernames and email addresses ;):

Hey.
I made a spotify profile with a facebook. My father has also an spotify account, but not an FB account. I went on my fathers iPad to listen spotify and connected it to my Facebook to get some playlists from my friends. When i went to spotify on my computer it logged into my fathers spotify. I used my FB information on logging in. Then I deactivated my Fb from his spotify and logged out from spotify. After that I used same information to log in. It logged in to my spotify, but all the playlists were gone. It doesn't show anything from my FB, it doesn't even show anything related to FB. I tried to log it into my fb again, but in preferences there isn't option to that. In my Facebook it shows that it is connected to it. I have no idea how to get back to FB with my spotify profile.
And this is wrote with my fathers account....
Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂
It sounds like your real Facebook account was lost in the merge somehow, but all of your data will still be in the system. You will need to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to recover that for you.
If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

I managed to get the spotify to connected to FB by going to my fathers spotify(on his iPad) and adding it to my Fb and then logged in somehow to my own on my computer . When i logged in to my profile, it was on FB, but my playlists were gone. Then I went to my friends page, who had followed one of my playlists, and followed my own playlist. Then It asked that do i want to follow "115..etc", which is my profile. So now I am following myself. This is very weird. Then i went to the profile of the number series, which is me, and now i have my playlists back. But how do i disconnect my FB from my fathers spotify on iPad. I think that i have 2spotify accounts connected to same FB........
