I'm on a PC. I logged into Spotify, headed to the gift card page (https://www.spotify.com/us/get-spotify/e-card/), then entered all my info. When I enter my credit card info, the page instructs me to register with Visa 3d Verification. I then clicked "ok" to proceed with the verification but instead I get a fail code. I did this twice and received error message. I then called my credit card company. They said my account wasn't blocked and that there was no need to verify. 

I tried the purchase through Spotify's webpage one more time only now I get the following message: "Oops! Something went wrong, please try again or check out our help area." I've repeated this process and get the same result over, and over again.

Please help.  As a poster with a similar problem stated, "I've never had to try this hard to give away my money." Seriously, the fact that I can't pick up the phone and get an answer to this problem is pissing me off so bad I'm tempted to forego my planned gift purchase (1 year subscription) and to cancel my own premium account (subscriber since 2013).
