how to change display name if you signed up with facebook

i signed up for spotify in july using a facebook account. it automatically took my profile pic and name from there. recently, i decided i wanted to edit the profile as i no longer liked the display name that was there. however i am unable to do so from the app and even after changing the feature on my facebook account.

I was wondering if you’ve tried changing your display name on the Spotify app by following the steps provided in this support article? Currently, display names can only be changed on the Spotify app for mobile devices or tablets, rather than on the Spotify desktop app.

If you add a display name this way, it will show up on your Spotify profile instead of your Facebook name.
