"Confirm your email" not my account

My Question or Issue

For the past couple of days I have been receiving "Confirm your email" emails from Spotify, and while the email address receiving them is indeed my email it is not the email address that is associated with my Spotify account. Perhaps someone erroneously used my email address instead of theirs. How do I get my email address removed from this account? I tried the "Contact us" link but it was just a very unhelpful chat bot.
