ANDROID TABLET COMPATABILITY

i WOULD LIKE TO INSTALL SPOTIFY ON ANDRIOD TABLET BY NEXTBOOK, ANY SUGGESTIONS? I CON NOT LOCATE IT ON THE DROID MARKET TO DOWNLOAD AND I DONT KNOW HOW TO TRANSFER THE FILE FROM MY PC, IT WORKED FLAWLESSLY TO MY DROID PHONE AND IT WAS SIMPLE. BUT I CAN NOT FIGURE HOW TO INSTALL IT ON THE TABLET.....

Hi,

I jumped on your response because I too could not get a Spotify app for my Android tablet, because I am in UK - copyright problems maybe?

So I tried this suggested solution but my Asus Transformer tablet tf300t would not have that either.

Anyone else have any suggestions - or is there a free alternative to Spotify that might work please?

Do you not have access to google play on your tablet? 

Spotify is available on google play in the UK.

Yes indeed but a search does not reveal Spotify on Google Play as such.  Lots of similar stuff.

They all seem different, from the Spotify on my PC (which is in UK of course)

I even tried connecting my tablet to my PC and downloading to the PC and tried to transfer, that way.  I selected the tablet as the target but was told "not available in your country"

I have just spoken to licenced who is an android user (I'm a BlackBerry person!) and he says you should be able to go to the google play page here on your desktop PC, and hit "Install" which should download and install it to your tablet for you. You will need to sign in using your google ID and password. 

Give that a try?

Hi Peter,

Yes that route takes me to the one I was trying to describe in my previous post.

It gives me a choice my 'phone or my tablet.

The tablet is there but it is "whited out" so it is impossible to select as the download target, so no joy there I am afraid.

Okay, 

Can you try and install it from m.spotify.com again using the link below:

http://download.spotify.com/android/SpotifyAndroid.apk

If it doesn't work can you post the error message here. 

You might also want to try installing one of the older versions, luckily neo-x maintains a list of them with links here.
