[ANDROID] music keeps stopping when playing in the background

Everytime I open my app, it tells me to turn on the "allow to play in background" option but this has been switched on since I installed the app. Now I'm unable to listen to my music (both from the app and local files) because the app keeps stopping the audio after a minute or so of playing. I've tried everything but it seems to be due to an update they implemented.

It's not affecting my iPad so I'm guessing it's the original account itself. I don't want to have to make a new one because I have everything on my current account and have had it for many years now.

try going to phone settings, search "sleeping apps" and turning that feature off if you have it.

This has been happening to my S21 Ultra as well gor a while now.

I had the same issue, tried the next and it seems it is fixed now.

Galaxy S22 Ultra, Android 13 with the very latest patches....

Go to Settings, search for Sleeping apps, the last item in that menu is Never Sleeping Apps, Open it, click the + sign to add a new one, scroll down to spotify, select it and then touch the button in the lower side of the screen that says Add.

Go to the "Allow Background Activity" section here. Make sure the battery settings for Spotify are unrestricted. Mine were restricted and it fixed this issue for me.

I'm having same problem, tried everything and still doing it, might be worth canceling and using Amazon music.

It will stop playing if I try to open any other app even though I leave it open in the background. The other apps have zero sound. I have tried all the tips on here and nothing has worked
