Hey folks,

Are you using any custom themes for your device? if so, try disabling them > rebooting your phone to see if the issue persists. It's also worth checking if there are any pending MIUI updates and installing them.

If the issue persists, make sure to share the following details (if you haven't already):

Cheers 🤘

I have the same problem and also I can't change song's time. This started happening two days ago after I cleared cache of Spotify. I am using Samsung A34 Android 14.

are you guys going to acknowledge this problem? This is getting frustrating because I tried every solution.

Al reproducir la canción en la barra de notificaciones ahí aparece que se reproduce pero en mi caso la foto de la canción aparece extremadamente borrosa de muy mala calidad

Hola @

Deberias probar reinstalar la app. Puede ser que eso arregle el problema.

Espero sea de ayuda. 🙂

Hey there folks,

Thanks for posting in this thread!

Could you double-check if there's an update available for the app? You can check by following the steps here.

Shouldn't that do the trick, can you let us know what Spotify version you're currently running, along with the make & model of your device?

Keep us posted!

Yep, I'm here because I've got the same prob. This originally started happening after a Spotify update a couple or so months ago. I've reinstalled Spotify and the album art is still low res in the notification area. The art appears perfectly fine elsewhere on the Spotify app and on the home widget.

Hey @Ayudame,

Thanks for your reply here in this thread.

Would you mind checking if there is a new Spotify version available in the Play Store? If yes, update the app to see if you notice any difference in this behavior. Make sure the OS of your device is up-to-date as well.

If this continues to happen on your side, it'd be really helpful if you sent us more details about the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far, so we can avoid repeating any steps. As mentioned previously here, we'd suggest trying a different internet connection to see if you notice any difference. Perhaps a friend or a relative can create a hotspot with their mobile device for you to connect there and check.

Lastly, it'd be great if you could try opening your account on a different mobile device to see if you can replicate this behavior. You can ask for the mobile device of a relative or a friend to open your account there and check.

Keep us in the loop!

@AlejaR

Android OS is up to date, since my post, update 8.9.34.590 came out, and I followed Spotify's guide for fresh reinstallation, yet the currently playing artwork still displays in low resolution in the notification area.

I've tried different Wi-Fi, and just mobile data, the issue persists. I'm convinced this is a problem with the Spotify app itself, and not unique to me since nobody in the replies seems to have found a fix. On a Samsung phone running Android, I was able to see album art displaying at a reasonable resolution, but that Samsung uses a different notification U/I that only displays a tiny art preview compared to the larger space taken on my phone, so they might both be using low resolution images, but it's easier to notice when the same low-res image is stretched out to fill larger notifications.
