Android 4.2 multiple accounts vs. Spotify offline devices limit

Hi,

as you know, Android 4.2 (and 4.3) supports multiple Google user accounts in same device.

On the other hand Spotify has a limit of 3 devices for offline music.

I have Spofify installed for two Google user profiles in my tablet. Both user profiles are using my Spotify premium account.

Are these separate Android user accounts considered as separate Spotify devices, so that they are now using 2 out of my 3 possible offline devices? Or are they considered to be just one device (which it physically really is)?

At least I have to download the offline tracks separately for each user.

Thanks in advance for your answer!

They are classed as separate devices, as they each have their own download cache 🙂

OK, that's what I was afraid of... the 3 device limit feels even tighter now. 😞
So even though the offline content is exactly the same for both profiles the tracks are downloaded separately and consume double memory? This doesn't sound good at all. I wish this could be improved soon.

That is how multiple accounts work. Everyone gets their own separate data space - so data will be duplicated.
