Android Auto sort

My Question or Issue

When using the app on my phone, I have my lists sorted alphabetically.  So when i look through albums, it's alphabetical by artist.  But when using android auto on my cars screen, the order is completely random and there's no way to change it.  There's no methodolgy to the album order.  Not recently played, not alphabetical.  It wasn't always like this.  I think an update in the past month **bleep** this up.  How do I sort on android auto?
