My Question or Issue

With the new addition of folders for playlists, on desktop we have the possibility to Queue a whole folder with the simple press of the play button as shown in the below screenshot.

On the android application although, I cannot seem to find any way to play or queue up an entire folder.
Was this, in my opinion an important feature missed, or is there a problem with my Spotify App on Android?

Hey @sucacu!

You're correct - it's not currently possible to queue all playlists within a folder via the mobile app. There's an idea about implementing this feature here, so feel free to check it out and show your support.

In the meantime, a workaround would be to open each playlist and manually add it to the queue. If you'd like to have all tracks shuffled instead, you can copy the contents of your playlists into a new one that combines them into a single playlist.

Cheers!

Hey @Yordan!

I'm sorry but the workarounds aren't good enough, especially for the shuffling, copying multiple playlists into one is just a weak "fix" on your clients side, instead of a feature that already should be there.

What is more upsetting is that the post you linked for the "feature request" is from 2017 originally, 2017 is 5 years ago Yordan! For 5 years you're telling me the dev team could not implement such an easy UX element?

I understand from a developer POV that it takes time, but this should not be such a hard feat to achieve for it is just logic already implemented.

Can something be done about this? I find it ridiculous we need to "request" features from the Web/Desktop versions of spotify on android, they ALREADY should be the same.

I wont mark this answer as a solution until further information is provided.

Thanks for your time,
sucacu
