My Question or Issue

Hello,

Up until the last update I had no issues, but ever since then I need to log in every time I open the app. I don't have a Facebook account, so have to enter my username and password every time. It's pretty irritating - before the update it was always fine.

I'm a premium subscriber. Is there anything you suggest I can do to fix this?

Hi there!

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?

Thanks for your feedback. I tried both restarting my phone and a clean install of the app, however neither made any difference. Each time I open the app I am asked to log in again.


This seems to happen regardless of whether I am connected to the internet or not.

 

Spotify version is 8.4.91.861

Operating system is Android 7.0

  • Are you using any 3rd party apps with Spotify?
  • Do you get any errors when you get signed out?
  • Does the same thing happen on another device?
