App keeps randomly pausing when streaming to bluetooth headphones

My Question or Issue

 I got bluetooth headphones for the first time and the app KEEPS pausing (I cannot get through a single song without it pausing 3-4 times or more) when I am streaming music. It seems to be fine for offline downloaded music. Streaming from my laptop (Surface Pro 4) also seems to do this but to a much lesser extent.   Any help would be appreciated.
