App shows Get Premium ads even though I'm a premium user

App shows Get Premium ads even though I'm a premium user

Since updating to the latest Android client (, I get a pop-up asking me to Get Premium, showing the benefits of membership.  However, my account overview ( shows that I'm already a Premium member.


The pop-up appears on launching the app and on viewing the Now Playing page.


All of my Premium features that I use (offline playlists, Connect, no ads, high quality streaming) all work, so I'm getting premium benefits.


I have tried basic client side things, like clearing data and clearing the cache.


Is anyone else experiencing this issue?  It's really annoying.

I recommend reaching out to Spotify Support. They can be reached through their Twitter Handle @SpotifyCares, Facebook Page Spotify Cares, or through the online contact form.

If you submit the contact form instead of the Twitter or Facebook Message, make sure to check your inbox and junk folder for an email from Spotify.
