Hello all.
We've had some reports of people using some HTC devices with Beats Audio not being able to use the Audio Effects options. I'm collating some information for some reporting. Could you confirm the devices you are using that you are not able to use the Audio Effects option on?
If you're not using a Beats Audio-enabled device, I'd recommend trying a clean installation first, and see if they are available now. If they aren't, could you pop that below too, stating that it's not a Beats Audio enabled device but you're not able to use the Audio Effects option.
Thanks!
I have the same problem on my Arc S. Doesn't seem to be HTC specific issue...
Missing audio effects
HTC One X with Beats Audio

I just update the new version of Spotify, on a 2.2.1 Android (no root). It's a HTC Wildfire smartphone.
I can't access Equalizer and audio features, they don't appear in the Spotify's settings or the android's settings 😞
Thanks
I'd had volume+ when choice option audio settings the spotify crash. Then I'd also tried to uninstall volume+, then Idn't had the option audio setting. Mobil HTC Sensation
I have an rather old Smartphone
Samsung Galaxy 3 I5800
and even on this phone i have no Audio Settings.
Only other Music app than the "stock" is poweramp. Could this be the trouble-maker?
Well most (if not all) HTC ONE X run on ICS.
@David, any ETA for a fix?
Yes, the HTC One X launched with ICS.
Just to add to the list.
HTC Sensation XE ICS 4.0.3 with Beats, no option for audio effects.
I was hoping that the native Beats Audio efffects would kick in but that doesnt work either, it does work for other music apps

you have much to learn, young grasshopper.

you must be new. just wait six months to a year -- you'll understand.

You totally missed the point. Sure he has the right to ask for an update, it's naive to think it'll come in the foreseeable future though. We've been waiting for saving to SD card and landscape mode for 4 months now, that should give you an idea of what he meant with his post 🙂

7 months -- but who's counting?
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 with no EQ and audio effects (ICS 4.0.4 flashed it my self)
I have a Sony Eriksson ARC with ICS ... no EQ and audio effects
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 with JB (4.1.1) ... with EQ and audio effects 🙂
Very annoying

I do apologise, I've been away.
Sadly we don't have any updates on this matter yet. I'll be sure to chase it up though.
In regards to non-HTC devices, your phone would need to have an EQ function within Android already before the Audio Effects option will work. For example, on a device I use, it has DSP Manager, and Spotify seems to work with that.
