Audio mutes on Android 8.0.0 update while streaming BT over UConnect in Dodge

My Sony Xperia Xz compact recently updated to Android 8.0.0.  The day I received this update, Spotify Stopped streaming over Bluetooth audio properly in my truck (Ram 2500 with UConnect 3.0 factory audio system).

The audio randomly "mutes" mid-song on the Uconnect screen in the truck.  However if I turn the volume knob up or down on the Uconnect inside the truck, the audio un-mutes and I can hear the song again.

Don't have this muting issue with any other apps or in-call audio, just Spotify, and just when connected to my vehicle since the latest Android update. Spotify also updated around the same time.

I'm on Spotify 8.4.46.575 arm v7
