Back button not available on headset or wear OS

My Question or Issue

When listening to music, the back button is disabled on both bluetooth headset and the wear OS controls when listening to either the first song in the playlist or any podcast. On wear OS, the back button is actually hidden, rather than just non-functional.

This is especially annoying for the podcasts, as it means that I can skip forward 15 seconds at my leisure with either of my devices, but if I need to rewind 15 seconds, I have to pull out my phone to do it.

This problem showed up within the past couple weeks for me.
