Hi 🙂
I know that the new update makes the storage choose itself where to save the offline lists and everything no spotify, but i really want a option that i can choose my self where to storage my spotify.
If i have 10 GB on my mobile storage, and 16 MB on my microSD i want to save it on my MicroSD but my phone stores it on the phone storage...
Thats really enoying, and i can't do anything to move it, and Spotify takes alot of space on my phone. It takes around 6GB now!
Thats much to be a small app.
So is it possible that in the next spotify update on android, we can shoose where to put our storage, with maby some help instructions with so the beginners that want to do this to, does it correctually 🙂
It would be nice ^^

Hi, and welcome to the community!
Currently it seems on Android it saves offline files to the memory with the most space. If it was your phones then it would have saved it on your phone. Unfortunately it is not currently possible to select a storage.
There is an idea for this here.
Anthony 🙂

0.6.6.270 (current version) does NOT save to the card with the most storage. I have 9gb internal and 64gb external and spotify is still saving to the internal on my phone.
Any way for me to fix that?
Also, it's obviously not choosing the correct location for the OP either.
If you already had spotify installed and using internal storage for the cache, you need to do a clean reinstall or it will always default to the existing cache location.
I had 2 problems. My app was one version old . Once I updated the app, I went to settings and hit "delete data and cache", re-signed in then it worked!
Yay. I can download more than 1 playlist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is huge for Galaxy S4 owners that have 9gb of internal to work with.
That's called a clean reinstall - glad it worked 🙂
