Hey, I thought about two ways for the Spotify team to solve it

========= Temporary fix ===========

Could you implement the possibility to export playlist info ?

Whe might build offline playlists, manually export them locally, manually import them back when online.

It'd be an easy fix

======== Algorithm of the solution =========
TLDR : have a local file keep track of user modifications, and use it to repercute them on your servers when the user goes back online

if the user is offline
    if user does a creative action offline (like song, delete liked song, build playlist ...)
           add a line to the local file tracking changes
when user reconnects to the internet
     if the list ain't empty
            copy the modifications on your servers databases
            empty the user local list
     else

         do nothing

I am on Spotify 8.8.22.510 running on Android 13. I haven't had this problem for a few months now so it seems to be fixed, at least for me.

I created three playlists while my phone was in flight mode and I was on a plane. They were all created inside a playlist folder. When I reconnected to the internet the playlists themselves disappeared, but the playlist folder still says there are 18 playlists, but only shows me 15. The 3 I created are gone. I logged out/in again, I reinstalled Spotify.

I am using Spotify on android.

How do I make them visible?

Thanks for reaching out!

Can you test this out on a different device if available to check if the same happens? Are you trying to add some of the downloaded songs you have to the playlist you're creating or other ones? It's also worth going into your phone's app settings and making sure that the Spotify app is granted all permissions and that Battery optimization is not enabled.

It'd be great if you can also share the following info:

1. The make and model of your device
2. Your current Spotify version
