Controlling Spotify Connect's volume from another device when listening on Android

My Question or Issue

Currently, when an android device is the current playback device, I can't control the volume of my android device from other devices. While I can use my phone to change the volume of my desktop app, I cannot use my desktop or other android device to change the volume of my android phone while it's playing. 

I thought that this used to be a thing, but there could've been a change on the android side which broke this.

Currently, on desktop and web, the volume slider is grayed out when a android device is the current playback device, and on another device, there is not volume slider to be found if the current playback device is another android device.

I'm afraid that's correct. For the time being, you can control the volume from your phone while listening on your PC, but the reverse (i.e. controlling the volume from your PC while playing from your phone) isn't possible. Still, your feedback on this is important and valuable to us, as it may ultimately end up paving the way for our broader user experience. Thanks for sharing it here - we appreciate it.

I get that, but I've asked the community personally, and everyone wants this back. This would be a game-changer of a feature to re-integrate! It used to be a thing, but it was randomly removed one day, after a random update.
