Creating Playlists on my Android TV

I have a Android Smart TV and an Android cellphone. I can crate and manage playlists on the phone however these options are no available on my TV. I can select songs and they appear in My Music however there does not appear to be a way to crate a playlist and move them to the list. Also, the playlist I create on my phone do not appear on the TV and I am logged in on the same account on both devices. Can you explain what I need to do to have this feature on my TV and phone?
