Download and Sync

Solved!

Download and Sync

I can't seem to get my playlists to download to my SD card. I have a 64 GB card, and 2GB of internal storage. Also, while it downloads, it stops if I navigate away from the app. I want to be able to download music overnight and at work.

Any help is appreciated!!

Thanks!

As far as I know there are two ways:

"The new way"

Delete the spotify Data.

When you start the application "for the first time" it will select internal or SD depending on where most space is available. So, if you first used spotify, then added a bigger SD card, it will continue using the internal and you need to clear its data to get it to figure it out again. I agree it's stupid to not have a setting.

If the new way doesnt work:

"The old way"

Download an ancient spotify release. I mean really old. You should probably search for which version and then find that APK somewhere. Clear the data and uninstall, install the old version. At first start at the login screen there is an option to choose where to save the fies.

Notes: I have reinstalled, deleted cache and data, and set download to Extreme. Still downloading to internal storage.

I found an issue with my phone itself. On the storage tab, it had internal storage set as default. I changed that, and it seems to be working. Thank you!
