For some reason there is a download cap and now I can't download any more songs with out deleting some is there any way around the cap

Sorry for the inconvenience.

According to this help article, the current limit is 3,333 offline songs per device, on a maximum of 3 different devices.

I have run into the limit as well and it can be frustrating. Hopefully Spotify will increase or get rid of the limit in the future.
