How do I fix “device limit reached” trying to download music onto my phone?

I can’t download my music onto my phone, I recently just got a new phone and can’t fix this problem. I want to download my likes on my library but “device limit reached remove all downloads from another device to listen offline with this one”

I got a message about not being able to add anymore offline devices and saw how to eliminate a device if you still have it but I factory reset those devices when I traded them in. Is there another way?

We have been using Spotify as a family and now have 4 of us on mobile phones and 2 laptops. I have just changed my phone and Spotify says I cannot download playlists as we exceeded our devices. I have deleted downloads from 2xlaptops and my old phone and my daughter has opened her own account. So now we just have 2x phones with downloads. Why will it still not let me download playlists? Please help! I am a dance teacher and rely on my Spotify download library!!

Broke my phone (cant use it at all!). Maximum devices with offline download is 3 and I need to remotely remove the downloads from my broken phone so the new one can also download (Im using 3 devices for downloads). I saw that this feature was avaliable years ago. Im not even gonna comment on how absurd that is and how the app is a total mess. Please solve this!

If you sign in on one of the other devices I think there's an options to "sign out of everywhere/all devices" somewhere in the settings.  Surely if you do this that will allow you to sign back into your chosen devices and redownload? (I don't know for sure but worth a try)

I have 6 devices with Spotify, and I can only download music on 4 devices. On the website, I read that I can download music on 5 devices. Where is my last device? Of course, I disconnected all devices from my account to check it.

I recently got a new phone, and when i tried to download a playlist it simply gave me a note that said, you have reached your space limit, but the problem is that it asks me to remove the downloads manually from my other device, and my previous phone is not working, it literally stopped so now i cant download because spotify reads the other phone´s downloads and now wont let me in my new device

Hi everyone, I just downloaded Spotify on my Redmi Note 11, and I have bought Spotify for 4 months. However, I cannot download the music from my playlist due to the device limitations according to the notification. I had downloaded the music before I resetted the Redmi Note 11 due to some phone's OS problem and I also downloaded on the iPhone 6s. I gaveaway the iPhone for my sister and she also resetted it so that i cant remove the downloaded music on both devices. Can somebody help me please?

I just formatted my phone because my storage was very full when I did all the configuration and installed Spotify and started with my premium account I wanted to download my playlists again but it tells me that I have exceeded the download limit. I have recently reset my phone multiple times, and each time I reinstalled Spotify, it recognized my device as a new one. Now, I have reached the 5-device offline limit, even though I am still using the same phone.

I am unable to download songs for offline use because of this issue. Could you please reset my offline devices or remove old device entries linked to my account?

Hi,
I signed in onto a new laptop and it has removed downloads from my mobile phone which I need offline downloaded playlists on. It shows 'You're out of offline devices', but how do I see these offline devices?

I have signed out of all devices and only signed in on my mobile phone and the same issue still persists. I need to know which devices have the offline feature on so I can turn it off. I will also need to know how to do this.
