Downloaded playlist help

If I have a playlist that is downloaded, will spotify still use data while I listen to the playlist while still connected to 4G? Or will it just recall the song from my phones memory?

Welcome to the Spotify Community.

In this case, we'd recommend activating the Offline mode to avoid excessive data usage. To do so, just head to your Spotify app > Settings > Offline Mode.
