Error in getting Spotify Updates / Push notifications on Android device

I do not get any push notifications (Spotify Updates) from Spotify on my Android device. I have hooked of (se picture below) that I want push-notifications - still I do not get any notifications.

I have an Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge running Android 7.0. I have run a factory reset of my Phone and re-installed the Spotify app. Spotify has all the nescessary permissions on my phone and notifications is not disabled from Spotify on my phone.

Why do I not get the notifications?

They dropped the push notifications a while ago and expect us to rely on the new releases section in "Browse".
