Google assistant does not recognize spotify as music provider

Issue

Google assistant does not recognize spotify as music provider (see screenshot 1). When I ask google assistant to play a song it tells me that it is only available for premium users even though I have premium. It then plays the song but not the official study version but a weird remix or cover.

What I have l already tried

Restart the device

Reinstall spotify

Unlogging from all devices

Log in with username

Apparently that fix does not work anymore.

It would be nice if we had list of countries where this feature is blocked so we do not waste our time.

What about the weird song choices by spotify? That cannot be a problem on Google's end.

Is there any workaround here? I have the same issue - Spotify is shown under Podcasts but not under Music.

I have the exact same problem, Spotify Premium. It's a country location issue.

Can Spotify please contact Google and ask them to enable Spotify as a music provider for ALL countries??? A company to a company, so this issue gets fixed. Google is obviously blocking Spotify as a music provider in some countries, and they will not listen to individual users asking for a fix. A company (Spotify) needs to ask them.

Same issue here, can't image after two years with so many Users impacted, this issue still remains...
